A new Pew Research poll shows that if there isn't a deal to avert the so-called fiscal cliff, "most Americans" will blame Republicans. So, if the massive tax increases and military cuts that Obama, the Democrat Senate, and the Republican House agreed to last year actually happen, Obama will escape blame. At least, as far as 53% of Americans are concerned.

RUSH: What we got today was a seminar on how to surrender. It was weak... The Republicans have just given in. They have compromised, what have you, on the premise that raising taxes on the rich will fix the problem. They have conceded that the problem exists in part because the rich aren't paying their fair share.

RUSH: The 911 call, folks, of the Belcher case, was just released. NBC has not had a chance to doctor it yet, from everything I understand.

RUSH: Vinny's like Old Faithful. When things blow up, Vinny from Queens somehow gets through here.

RUSH: How did a state with so many entrepreneurs vote to raise taxes on themselves? It's a good question.

RUSH: Folks, look, this is it, the last day of the last Two If By Tea sweepstakes of the year. And this one we pulled out all the stops. We're going for broke.

RUSH: This is JoAnn Watson at a city council meeting last night in Detroit.

WATSON: After the election of Jimmy Carter, the honorable Coleman Alexander Young, he went to Washington, DC, and he came back home with some bacon...Our people in an overwhelming way supported the reelection of this president, and there ought to be a quid pro quo. 

RUSH: Ed Asner, by the way, is a multimillionaire. And isn't that always the case? All these hypocritical, ultra-rich leftists running around condemning every other rich person.

RUSH: Now, The Politico is very snarky about these two speeches... The Politico says that Paul Ryan and Marco Rubio are simply engaging in "makeovers." They're trying to remake themselves. I don't hear that. I don't hear these guys saying anything all that different from what they've said during the campaign.

RUSH: I'm worn out with this thinking: Let disaster happen to teach people a lesson.  That's been happening.  And the lesson being learned is that there isn't a disaster.  The government's gonna take care of people.
